"AudioBioGraphical" is the debut solo studio album from Liz Berlin. The tracks on the album find Liz front and center as a standout voice within an ever-changing palette of instruments, textures and loops. Liz breaks new ground in this remarkable self produced effort with a solid variety of sounds moving effortlessly through and around genres. A great variety of guest musicians grace this effort including Gary Shider of Parliament Funkadelic with his soulful vocal contribution to "Ask". Soma Mestizo's Christianne Leach is featured on the first track "Love You" as well as Crisis Car's Frank Spadafora adding vocals to the serene yet disturbing "Souvenir" which also features New Invisible Joy's Mike Gaydos adding his signature guitar sound. Core musicians on the album include Ford Thurston and Erik Cirelli on electric guitars. Also, Megan Williams and Weldon Anderson fuse on violin and upright double-bass. Mike Speranzo adds tasty guitar, bass and banjo, having taken the helm on the production of "Monster" and "Ask" along with producer/ engineer Larry Luther (Anti-Flag, 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas). For Liz Berlin, "AudioBioGraphical" is the culmination of five years of recording and production in and around her tours with Rusted Root and her many other endeavors. This marks a significant evolution for Liz as an artist, audio engineer and producer, and will most certainly drive her growth into a prominent solo artist.

Liz Berlin's creativity has grown to be a viable force in any project she applies herself to. Over their twelve-year history, Liz and Rusted Root have toured the Country with Santana, the Allman Brothers, Joan Osbourne, Sting, Dave Matthews Band, Sheryl Crow, Page and Plant, Jewel, and The Grateful Dead among many others. They have appeared on numerous national television shows such as David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and VH1's Hard Rock Live, and their music has been featured in many films and TV shows such as Ice Age, Twister, and various MTV programs.

As a solo artist, Liz Berlin's performances are highly anticipated. Liz embraces her creativity through personal interaction, intimate songwriting, and her emotionally charged voice. Raised on classical voice training as a child, she has sung with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Opera. This was the beginning of the long and twisted path through the worlds of folk, pop, ethnic, rock, and Rusted Root, through which she has created her own unique artistic vocal style. Liz also performs as a duo with Jenn Wertz (also of Rusted Root fame). This breakthough project: Liz & Jenn Acoustic offers their unique qualities, a combination of Jenn's smokey blues sound and Liz's classically beautiful & driving voice, in a union of insightful and addictive songwriting & harmony.

She has put her experience and success to good use in her other ventures, Mr. Small's Funhouse Recording Studio and Mr. Small's Theatre, located in the de-sanctified Roman Catholic sanctuary (capacity of 650 people with live audio and recording capabilities). Also within the compound are apartments, art studio spaces, residential facilities for visiting recording clients, an art gallery, and a private, enclosed rectory garden. Also, Mr. Small's SkatePark, which has an expansive street course and a 40 x 16 foot Vertical Ramp (from the 2001 X-games).

And Liz is the point person for Creative.Life.Support, a non-profit offshoot of Mr. Smalls, which aims to bring advanced technologies & opportunities in media arts to the hands of aspiring artists, musicians & creative professionals. Among its activities are a non-profit record label, music & skate camps, an on-going concert series, recording classes and associated artist programs.
